Following a job transfer to St. Augustine\, he became a member of the Jacksonville Sail and Power Squadron (JSPS). \nDuring his many years with JSPS\, Pete held numerous leadership positions and was recognized with 36 Merit Marks for his exceptional service. His passion was education\, and he generously shared his extensive knowledge of boating and navigation with countless students and fellow members. Much of the training material he developed continues to be used today. \nFor many years\, Pete served as the Master of Ceremonies for our annual Change of Watch. He carefully scripted each program and warmly welcomed members\, guests\, and incoming officers with his trademark professionalism\, attention to detail\, and genuine enthusiasm. \nPete will be remembered for his warm smile\, kind spirit\, dedication to excellence\, and unwavering commitment to boating education. It looks like we will have Wanda’s boat with a brand new 2027 Yamaha 150 hp motor hanging off of the back\, my boat and possibly Captain Bob Buehn.  I hope to get more.  We have plenty of space if you need a ride just let us know.  You can bring your drink of your choice; and we will have plenty of bottled water if needed.  As of now\, the weather is as good as we could expect this time of the year.
